The long wait
As many of you know our family has been on a long journey toward an international adoption. Many of you have shared a portion of the journey with us by donating for the garage sales, buying cook books and offering prayers and words of encouragement. We thank you for your patient support and acts of kindness. It takes a village to raise a child. We are so glad that you all "live in our village". You have helped to make this day a reality.
The referral letter arrived Thursday after a 3 year wait. Kate Rose is now waiting in China for her mommy and daddy to come and get her. If all goes well she will arrive in the States by the end of January. Kate Rose was born March 11, 2007. She weighs about 17 lbs and is 25 inches long. She is beautiful and appears to be healthy. We are blessed and overjoyed.
